What is GPU overclocking?

Published by Atif Liaqat on

Overclocking is the process of boosting up the performance of GPU by increasing the processing speed to get the enhanced results.

Every GPU is designed to perform at a specific processing speed known as a base clock but has the potential to increase it. It can be done with the help of software.

However, with the increase in speed, it also generates more heat and operates at a higher temperature. Therefore, the balance between temperature and performance is essential and can be appropriately monitored with the software.

I have been fond of computer technology for a long time, ever since childhood, and was always meddling with various hardware and software. With graduation in computer engineering from a recognized university like NUST was a dream come true and enabled me to persue my dreams in swift ways. Currently, I am working for various websites as a hardware reviewer and content writer.
