Our Recommendations for Best Gaming Laptops 2021

Best Gaming Laptops

Razer Blade 15

On the top, we have the Razor Blade 15, which was the best gaming machine I reviewed last year, and it’s because of its excellent gaming performance, sleek and beautiful design. This machine is available in several different configurations, but the most common one is RTX 2060 and GTX 1660 Ti Turing based models.   These configurations are available with varying configs of CPU, and you can choose the best one according to your budget and needs.

As there we are looking for a gaming machine. I would recommend you to get the RTX model because of its noticeable performance difference in modern titles. The powerful configurations of Razor Blade 15 are way expensive and are not recommended for budget users, so you are getting many options there. The base model of this machine got an Intel Core i7 9750H processor paired with a GTX 1660 Ti Turing based non-RTX graphics card.

This is no doubt a great combo, but only for mid-range gaming, and if you like to prefer gaming at 1080p, you are good to go with this machine. The advance model has RTX 2060 graphics card paired with the 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor, and it’s a beast for 1080p and 1440p gaming. Like all other Razer machines, this one also got a back colored lid with a green color Razer logo on it, which looks very attractive and gives excellent aesthetics. This machine looks the same as of the Mac book because of its metal body and the large size trackpad below the keyboard, which seems very appealing.

The Good

  • Gives great aesthetics along with performance. The thin bezel display looks good. Battery life is impressive. Overall excellent performance in games. Plenty of ports on the left and right side.

The Bad

  • Single-Zone RGB keyboard. Goes hot under loads. Price-wise it’s a bit expensive.

Dell G3 15

In the list of best gaming laptops, we have also added a budget choice for those who like to play Esport of old games and conscious about the price of these machines. As we already know that brands like Dell and Hp have previously covered the computers and laptops market with their OEM builds, and most users prefer to have that instead of low-price hardware. This company has also released a wide range of laptops for budget users, professional and general use, gaming, and then high-end work.

There we have the Dell G3 15, which houses the best budget hardware for a very affordable price. The reason to consider this machine is its performance at 720p in gaming for the price we are getting it for. It comes with an i5 8300H processor paired with Nvidia GTX 1050 graphics card, which seems to be old, but for budget users, it’s a great option these days to consider. The graphics processing unit has a memory of 4GB, which is enough for 720p gaming and gives you impressive performance.

It comes with an 8 GB of memory, and you are allowed to upgrade it to 16 GB as there is one empty slot available. The display of Dell G3 15 is 15.5 inches, which is enough for playing games at high resolutions and for watching movies and its full HD. The best thing in its display is its anti-glare and backlit display, which is much better than the older screen used previously on laptops. The sound and audio quality of this machine are impressive; however, it goes a bit noisy when you are using some custom player for songs. In these budget machines, we mostly saw shallow keyboards, but that’s not with G3 15 as it has a great keyboard that you can use for gaming and writing too.

The Good

  • Best affordable gaming machine.
  • Battery life is impressive.
  • Offer excellent gaming performance.
  • Good value for its price.

The Bad

  • The display is a bit dim or dull.

Asus TUF A15

Asus has a lot of series on laptops ranging from general use to professional and then gaming, and there we have the TUF series laptop, which is a target for mid rage gaming having a budget-friendly price with a great set of features and hardware. This machine comes with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor built on 7nm technology and the model’s names 4800H, which is no doubt a high CPU, and its paired with GTX 1660 Ti Turing based non-RTX graphics card.

With these specifications, this machine also supports some upgrades but only limited to memory and storage devices. Mostly we saw on laptops that their fans take air with dust inside the machine, but that’s not the case with this one as it is using an anti-dust technology that runs fans on full speed without having dust particles inside it. This gives better cooling for the hardware, and you can enjoy the optimal performance for long sessions. For display, it has a full HD 144 Hz IPS display, which allows you to have a great experience in games and while watching movies or Netflix series. For sound, it has the best in class speakers that give you noise-free audio, which you can enjoy for music and in games.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 comes with 16 GB of memory while you have an option to upgrade it to 32GB if you are looking for some performance. Also, it has 512 GB of PCIe NVMe SSD, which is upgradeable to 1 TB or even more. This machine is fully modular, but we all know the main difference that makes laptops stands behind the desktop machines is limits for upgrades, and that’s the same with this one. The RGB keyboard looks good, and it comes with different effects and has RGB light on every key, which is also customizable.

  • Offers excellent value for its price.
  • It is equipped with a powerful AMD processor.

They have products for every category, including from low tier to top tier, and today, we got a great gaming laptop from this company. Yes, we have the MSI GS65 Stealth gaming laptop that’s a thin, lightweight, and a great competitor to the Razer Blade and other top laptop brands.

This company has pushed this technology to a new level of how a thing gaming machine can offer such a level of performance for an affordable price. The net weight of this machine is no less than 4.1 pounds, and with this lightweight, you are getting compelling hardware that affords most of the modern titles. The company claims to have a battery life of at least eight hours, and yes, it can efficiently run continuously for eight hours while surfing the internet over Wi-Fi or other connections.

The looks of this machine are not like others, but when you put it on the desk, its black colored metal body looks much attractive. This machine has sharp edges and doesn’t have any round corners like other machines. Acer Predator Helios 300

Whenever a company releases their new product, they claim that their newly launched product is better than all other competitors, but Acer proved that with their laptop, namely Predator Helios 300. Though this laptop has older hardware, including a GTX 1060 graphics card with Intel Core i7 8750H processor, still it’s powerful. The performance of GTX 1060 is almost the same as of GTX 1650. But you might miss some features like RTX and DLSS, and especially it’s based-on Pascal architecture, which is a bit old.

Overall, with this configuration, this laptop is great for 1080p gaming, and that’s why I’ve selected it for this list. Acer Predator Helios 300 offers excellent performance for its price, and that’s the reason most users consider it over the alternatives for the same price. It comes with a single 16 GB DDR4 memory stick while you have the option to add another 16 GB module if looking for more performance. The storage solution is powered by a single 256 GB of SSD, where you have an opportunity to replace it with HDD, or you can even upgrade the SSD.

Also, there are some configurations of this model that comes with pre updated SSD or memory modules. The body of Acer Predator Helios 300 is made up of plastic and aluminium where the lid is made of metal and has two red-colored stripes and a centred Acer Predator logo on it, which gives a great attractive look. On the top, there is a bumper too, which is made up of plastic and looks cheap with the metal lid, but it’s okay as most users don’t have any problem with it. Under the cover, there is a 15.6 inches FHD IPS display with a predator logo on the bottom and an Acer logo on the top.

The Good

  • Excellent gaming performance for a budget-friendly price.
  • Build quality is impressive.
  • 144Hz FHD display for a better experience.

We are ending our list with an ASUS laptop, which comes with the fastest Ryzen 9 4000 series processor and RTX 2060 graphics card while makes an ideal complement for gaming. This processor is built with 7nm processing technology and offers excellent single core as well as multi-core performance, allowing you to game and stream at the same time without any performance loss. In simple words, we can call it a real powerhouse for gaming and productivity tasks without losing any performance.

With its excellent performance, this machine is a bit expensive than all other models listed above. Asus Zephyrus G14 comes with a brighter WQHD display panel that gives you a great experience in games and movies, and the matrix display is way better than the older screen used previously in machines. For audio and speakers, thanks to Dolby Digital Atmos, which gives an exceptional audio experience and studio class sound quality, which I appreciate the most in this machine.

The lid and the body of this laptop are made up of magnesium-aluminium alloy, which helps in reducing its weight, and the net weight of this machine is almost 3.64 lbs. If you like to have a portable gaming machine that you can take everywhere you want, this is one of the best options, but only if the budget is not a problem for you. As a content writer, the best part of this machine for me is its keyboard, which works smoothly, and I’ve managed a record of 63 words per minute on 10fastfingers with its keyboard. It comes with some dedicated hotkeys means you don’t have to open the settings to do something, and you can do them directly by pressing a specific combination of keys.

  • Sleek and attractive looks.
  • Compact design with powerful hardware.
